Every mane and tail hair takes many years to grow back, which is why it is particularly important to use a good brush when combing, as well as carefully combing from the hair tip towards the hairline several times a week. For thick manes or tails that tend to become matted, it is better to use steel needles without heads.

The steel needles are on a soft cushion made of natural rubber so that the needles can adapt to the body. The rubber cushions have a safety device on the back so that the steel needles cannot be pushed into the rubber cushion. These needles are so wonderfully rounded that no mane or tail hair gets caught in them! With regularly groomed horses, they prevent pulling and tearing of hair! The steel needles are 0.67 inch long.
